Kim Gubler Consulting was created in 2002 and is a leading independent management and pension consultancy in the UK. It draws on the experience of its founder to deliver targeted strategic advice to the pensions industry at optimum value. Since its creation the firm has delivered its promise to a range of clients from small not-for-profits to large multinational organisations.
Kim Gubler – Senior Partner
Kim Gubler is a business graduate, holds a Diploma in Business Excellence and is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.
Kim has worked in the pensions industry for more than 20 years and specialises in pension governance. Prior to setting up her independent pension and management consultancy in 2002 she worked in senior R&D positions with national pensions organisations. Since then she has worked on developing defined benefit and defined contribution policies and procedures across a range of employers, trustees and providers.
Kim is commercially active in facilitated adviser procurement and provides clients (schemes and employers) with support in running both combined and single service tenders. There are now relatively few players in this market, with even less being able to demonstrate a track record as solid. Scheme administration audit and governance of administration services is also a core competence. In the nine years since Kim Gubler Consulting launched, clients have ranged in size from £10m to around £1.6bn. Kim has worked with a number of pension administration firms to develop their business strategies, definitive objectives and market position.
Kim is a Director of PASA
PASA is the successor to RSPA, which Kim joined in 2005. She chairs the Standards Sub Committee, which currently includes the development of the General Statement of Administration Standards (GSAS). She has worked closely with the previous and current Chairs of PASA in the evolution of PASA from RSPA. Kim worked with the Regulator to develop the Record Keeping Guidance and Kim Gubler Consulting was successful heading the TPR Administration & Governance Services framework tender. She is an adviser and London Regional Organiser for the Pensions Advisory Service as well as a Principal Examiner for PMI.
Kim is regularly called on to speak at industry conferences. In 2009 the firm began producing the industry’s only regular Administration Fee survey this was followed in 2010 by an Actuarial Fee survey.
Hayley Mudge – Personal Assistant/Assistant Consultant
Hayley joined Kim Gubler Consulting in 2008 to provide support to the growing business needs. Initially Hayley's main role within the organisation was to provide administrative support to Kim on a day to day basis which included organising meetings, accounts and client preparation packs (e.g. agendas etc). As Hayley began to grow in confidence within her role she completed the Trustee Toolkit passing all modules at a distinction level and has completed the PMI Retirement Provision Certificate to give herself a solid grounding of the pensions industry. These qualifications have empowered Hayley to provide extra value to the business, enabling Hayley to generate revenue by working on chargeable client projects and more focused pension based tasks like the creation and analysis of Kim Gubler Consulting’s Annual Fee surveys. These extra responsibilities have been assumed while continuing to assist Kim with the business administration tasks.
Hayley is also a member of PASA and actively supports the organisation. Hayley organised and coordinated the final RSPA event in March 2010 ‘A calls to arms meeting’ which resulted in RSPA evolving into PASA. Over 600 people were invited to attend the event hosted by Aon Hewitt’s flagship London office.
